Why Certifications Matter
Water treatment is largely an unregulated industry, any company can claim their system "removes 99% of contaminants." NSF International provides independent third-party testing that verifies a system actually performs as claimed. When Water₂O installs an NSF/ANSI 58 certified system, you have documented proof of performance, not just a marketing claim.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Treatment Systems
NSF/ANSI 58 is the most rigorous independent certification for residential RO systems. It verifies that the RO membrane and filtration stages remove contaminants, including lead, arsenic, nitrates, fluoride, chromium, total dissolved solids, and chloramines, to the levels claimed, and that all materials in contact with drinking water won't leach harmful substances. All Water₂O RO installations use NSF/ANSI 58 certified components. In Los Angeles where TDS levels frequently exceed 400 ppm due to hard water, NSF-58 certified systems are the right choice for families who want verified performance rather than marketing claims.

WQA membership requires adherence to a code of professional ethics and access to ongoing technical training. California requires permits for water treatment system installations in most jurisdictions, Water₂O handles all permits and inspections as part of the installation.
